Are you a couch potato or a mouse potato? Sunday, Oct 4 2009

I am a mouse potato, for sure.

Being lazy is a terrible thing, i know. But to undo laziness is easier said than done, If it’s a habit that is, if it is not yet a habit, please don’t make it one.

Americans are somehow always stereotyped to be lazy, it could be due to the statistics of overweight people in the U.S.

The funny thing is, scientists encourage it.  Does money win over the idea of promoting laziness?

I found this video rather interesting because these inventions are sorta ridiculous yet are also real.

I figure corporations along with hired scientists come together to formulate a plan to cheat people of their money.

This is not so much the corporations fault; they’re just making money, the problem is that people actually buy these things.  They can use the money spent on useless gadgets to create higher interests for their bank accounts.  seriously.

Questions to pursue:

Why do people buy items from infomercials, what is the reasoning behind that?

Are there any positive outcomes of being lazy?

How does laziness develop?

What’s Good Music? Thursday, Oct 1 2009

Music should be universal,  just like math.

Of course, the lyrics matter, but that’s why there are such things as translations.

To me music is very important.  I listen to it when walking home by myself, i listen to it (quietly) when doing work,

I sing along and dance along to the beats as well.

But the topic today is music from different countries, with different lyrics, and different beats.

I like to listen to korean music as well as american music.  The genres that are found in the korean music industry are very similar to that of the American industry.

Pop, Rock, R & B, Ballads, Dance, Techno and more.

I sometimes prefer korean music over american music when it comes to ballads, for it is a bigger genre in south korea.  How often do you see ballads singers and songs in the spot light in America?

The style remains the same, but people ignorant about the concept of music forget music is universal.

So what if it’s from a different country, you can enjoy it all the same.

This video is a Music Video of a well known music figure in South Korea.

This following video uses the same soundtrack as the one above, but with english lyrics.

The way the song feels, the way it “sounds” i believe, is exactly the same.

The lyrics differ, but that is only an aspect of music.

Questions to pursue:

What makes people prefer certain genres of music?

What are the music genre differences between various cultures?

& last but not least

How often do people listen to other music besides the mainstream music of their location?

Everything Leather? Thigh-High Boots? Strong Shoulders-Toned Down 80’s? Shiny Metallics? Thursday, Oct 1 2009

Can you imagine yourself in leather from head to toe?
or shoulders with extra padding?
what about complete shininess?
These are the “Must-Haves” from Fall 2009 Fashion Trends
I can't, no matter how hard I try to picture myself doing so.
But if you can imagine yourself strutting what you've got in leather pants and big shoulders,
Go for it.

I’ve always liked fashion, i consider it a hobbie and an interest of which i can apply everyday in my life.

Sure, i take trends into consideration, sometimes i follow them sometimes i don’t.

Most of the time, i tweak the fashion trends into something i would feel more comfortable in.

There are also trends that seem absolutely ridiculous to me,  but that’s just preference talking.

Questions to pursue:

What makes people follow both fashion and non-fashion related trends?

How often do men/women follow trends?

& last but not least,

How do trends affect our society?
